See MY CV - a new job board launched by Simon Holdings Plc

See MY CV is a new, easy to use, job board for job hunters and companies seeking staff. It enables jobseekers to search through a database of vacancies from the I.T., Engineering, Commercial, Building and Teaching Industries. It also enables them to upload a written CV AND a Video CV for potential employers to view.

Employers are able to use See MY CV to advertise jobs to candidates, as well as searching through the CV database to look for suitable employees.

Exciting news from our Engineering office in Burton – July 2008

With two promotions from within the existing team and new (larger) premises on the horizon, our  Burton office is going from strength to strength.

The last two years has seen Scott Davies, Manager of Burton, and his team work incredibly hard to build the foundations for the future of the branch and the personnel within it.

All their excellent work has really started to pay off with promotions for two existing members of the team.

Joanne Eley and Paul Norton have both been promoted to Managing Consultants this month.  (more…)

Thank you for your hospitality at Uttoxeter Races

Clients of Jenrick Engineering recently enjoyed being part of Jenrick’s Top 100 celebrations by being invited to a day at Uttoxeter races.

The event took place on June 29th 2008 and was attended by over 100 staff and clients from the Burton and Crick branches of the company.

As part of the day Jenrick sponsored a race, inviting four clients to the Parade Enclosure to judge the ‘best turned out horse’ and then to go into the Owners Box for a Champagne Reception for the actual race itself.

In addition, Jenrick raffled two annual race passes for the course which were won by two local clients (who are huge racing enthusiasts). (more…)

A great day at Uttoxeter races with Jenrick Engineering!

As part of their Best Company celebrations for 2008 Jenrick Engineering welcomed 100 clients of the Burton and Crick branches to Uttoxeter Races on Sunday 29th June. Jenrick had a wonderfully presented marquee for the afternoon and guests were wined and dined before the racing commenced with the 2.15 Novice Hurdle. (more…)

‘Most of our clients are experiencing their best ever years’

The words credit crunch and recession seem to be a daily occurrence on the news nowadays, and it’s quite frightening actually when you think back to probably only a year ago when the term hadn’t even been invented.

One thinks ‘is this just the government’s way of talking us into a recession, or is actually real??’

The common opinion with our clients is that it is some form of scaremongering tactics and that actually business with most of them is more than good – in fact, some are enjoying their best ever years and have solid order books for the foreseeable future. (more…)
