Jenrick Commercial has just been featured on Surrey Radio Station Radio Jackie as a company which has ‘bucked the trend’ within the uncertain economic climate. The complete press release is detailed below, plus you can listen to an extract from the interview by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.
Trevor Lee from Jenrick Commercial explained:
“I am extremely proud of how our company has coped with such difficult market conditions over the last 12 to 18 months.
We’ve been hearing stories of young companies, similar ourselves, unfortunately going out of business almost daily, yet we have not just survived during this period, but we have actively grown and flourished..”
Well, it’s over. The big day has come and gone and I’ve finally had the
opportunity to complete the London Marathon again after a 12 year gap.
This time around was much more painful than I remember from before, although rose-tinted glasses maybe playing a part in my selective memory.
Yet, importantly, I have fulfilled my goal and achieved my Jenrick Experience!
I have to admit that crossing that finish line was an extremely emotional experience. You don’t realise how much mental energy it takes to complete the marathon until you’ve reached the end, especially as this time around it was not plain sailing by any stretch of the imagination!

Envelope printer and manufacturer, The Envelope Works, has been
featured again in Print Week, this time in the Reader Reaction section.
Managing Director, Mark Farrimond, was asked to provide his industry persepective on the current wage increases that are being enforced upon the print industry from the BPIF and Unite Unions. (more…)
The Envelope Works has recently been featured in Printweek
highlighting their success in gaining FSC & PEFC accredition during 2008.
Of particular note was the fact that The Envelope Works achieved the accreditation within just a two week time period - one of the shortest ever recorded.
Much of this was put down to the organisation and input of Adrian Booth, Estimating Manager for The Envelope Works, who had worked with the FSC before and was very aware of what processes needed to be in place in order for the company to become accredited.
Jenrick followed up its two previous years of success within the
Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to work for, by reaching 6th position in the 2009 awards – the company’s highest finish so far.
What makes the accolade particularly special is that the ranking is based purely on the confidential surveys completed by every member of Jenrick, with the result clearly displaying Jenrick’s continued commitment to providing the very best working environment within the UK. (more…)
A number of you from around the company have asked for an update on
how my training is going and have also asked for a link to my sponsor page for Children in Crisis. So, here you go . . . .
Training
This has gone well so far.
I completed the Great South Run (10 mile road race) in Portsmouth at the very end of October. I finished in a time of just over 1hr 30 minutes, which was where I wanted to be at that stage of my training. (more…)
In the 2009 Best Companies Awards Jenrick competed against 795
other companies, of all sizes and spanning an array of industry sectors, to achieve this award, with just 55 achieving the top accolade of 3 Stars.
As we have briefly mentioned, what is quite unique about the accreditation is that the ratings have been compiled in a way which enables all companies, regardless of size, to compete on a level plain-field. Therefore, the final scores truly reflect which companies are the very best to work for. (more…)
Michael Jackson has joined leading Envelope Printer, The Envelope Works, after working for Tower Supplies for 12 years within an Envelope Sales capacity.
